Happy Memorial Day!
A day of memorial..a day of remembering and celebrating our heroes fallen, fighting, or otherwise...
Today we remember William C. Judnich, father, husband, serviceman, patriot!
We love you Dad, Grandpa Bill, Sweet William!!

I added this poem I found about the tradition of wearing the red poppy in honor of our veterans.

"In Flanders Fields"
By John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly.
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Great Post. Your father was a great man... I'm sure you feel blessed to have had him in your life when you did. Sometimes hard to deal with the fact that God has the master plan for our life.. I hope you all have peace with the fact he is in such a beautiful place :) xo
