Happy Memorial Day!
A day of memorial..a day of remembering and celebrating our heroes fallen, fighting, or otherwise...
Today we remember William C. Judnich, father, husband, serviceman, patriot!
We love you Dad, Grandpa Bill, Sweet William!!

I added this poem I found about the tradition of wearing the red poppy in honor of our veterans.

"In Flanders Fields"
By John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly.
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Happy Mothers Day!!

After making breakfast for Jill and the kids we went to see Star Trek per Jill's request...(I know... As Jill would say Nerd Alert!!) However, Jill loved it and wanted to recommend it to everone.

"This is not your fathers Star Trek!!"

Our favorite dish!

Did you say Yummy?
I had to tease my sister Jennifer with this...she loves my cajun chicken pasta just as much as we do.
I hope that one day it will convince her to move closer so that I could make it for her on a regular basis!

Jenn...just so you know...
It tastes a million times better than it looks!
Love you!!

April Showers Bring May Flowers?

So what do you get when the "showers" in April are actually snow showers...
I had to take a picture of the view from our porch.
Notice the cute snowman I made on top of our grill just to cheer Mark up?
Call me crazy, go ahead, I love snow any month of the year!

Swine Flu...oh boy!

We all need a little humor even when it comes to scary situations...
